Day tour · 1 day
A full day in Hollywood with tickets for the Warner Bros. Studio Tour in Burbank, a morning walk on Hollywood Boulevard and the terrace of Griffith Observatory, where Rebel Without a Cause and La La Land were filmed.
From $189 per person
Overview
If you have one free day in Los Angeles, this is the way to spend it on film. We pick you up at your hotel, walk Hollywood Boulevard before the crowds arrive, and drive over to Burbank for the Warner Bros. Studio Tour Hollywood, the studio's own public tour, for which we book your ticket. You ride the backlot by tram with a Warner Bros. guide and finish on Stage 48, where the Central Perk set from Friends stands.
In the afternoon we drive up to Griffith Observatory. It has been a film location since the 1930s, and from its terraces you see the Hollywood Sign, the Los Angeles basin and, on a clear day, the ocean. Lena Kowalski, our Los Angeles tour leader, guides the whole day, and groups are capped at 12, so there is time for questions and photos.

Pace 1 of 5. About 2 miles on foot over the whole day, on flat pavement and studio streets. The studio tour includes some standing, and the walk up to the observatory terrace has a few steps.
Itinerary
A 12-seat van with a professional driver from pickup to drop-off. Your exact pickup time is confirmed the evening before.
Meals: lunch
Route map
The day stays in a small corner of the city: Hollywood, Burbank over the hill, and Griffith Park between them, so you spend under 2 hours in the van.
On screen
The productions behind the stops on this tour, where they filmed and what you see there today.
| Film or series | Year | Location | What you see today |
|---|---|---|---|
| Rebel Without a Cause | 1955 | Griffith Observatory | A free public observatory; we go inside and onto the terrace with the James Dean bust. |
| The Terminator | 1984 | Griffith Observatory | The same hilltop, now busy with visitors by day; we see it from the terraces. |
| La La Land | 2016 | Griffith Observatory planetarium | The building is open to visitors; planetarium shows are ticketed separately. |
| Friends | 1994 | Stage 48, Warner Bros. lot, Burbank | The Central Perk set, seen at the end of the public studio tour. |
| Once Upon a Time in Hollywood | 2019 | Hollywood Boulevard | A public street; we walk it before the crowds arrive. |
Filming spots change over time: storefronts get new owners, sets are rebuilt and some interiors were shot on stages elsewhere, so your tour leader tells you on the day what is still there.

Before you book
What the days are really like, so there are no surprises.
Easy, 1 of 5. About 2 miles on foot over the whole day, on flat pavement and studio streets.
Filming, events and closures can move a stop or close an interior on the day. Your leader swaps in another location nearby and tells you why.
Museums, studio tours and open businesses you enter as a visitor. Working businesses that ask for quiet, and every private home, are seen from the public street or not at all.
Pickup is from central hotels or the meeting point named in your confirmation. Allow time to get there before the start.
Tour leader, Los Angeles
Has lived in Los Angeles for twenty years and worked in film publicity before leading tours. Knows every studio gate in town and the best time to beat the parking at Griffith Observatory.
Practical information
Your confirmation, with the pickup point and the tour leader's phone number, arrives when you book. Weather, airports and the best months are on the Los Angeles page.
We pick up at central hotels in Hollywood and West Hollywood. Staying elsewhere? Meet us outside the Hollywood and Highland Metro station at 8:15 a.m.
Warner Bros. asks every visitor for a government photo ID at the studio gate. Without it you cannot join the studio tour.
Large bags and backpacks are not allowed on the studio tour. Bring a small day bag; anything bigger stays locked in our van.
Burbank is hotter than the coast: 85 to 95 F in summer afternoons. Bring a hat, sunscreen and water; the observatory terrace is breezy in the evening.
Tour FAQ
Yes. The ticket for the Warner Bros. Studio Tour Hollywood is in the price. It is the studio's own public tour, booked by us in your name.
Because we buy the studio ticket for you as soon as you book. The full price is due at booking, and you can change your date once, free, up to 30 days before.
This tour is designed for adults. Warner Bros. sets its own minimum age for the studio tour, and we follow it.
Stages close when productions are shooting. The studio guides change the route, and you still see the backlot and Stage 48.
Not on this day tour. Paramount is on our five-day Hollywood on Location tour, along with Warner Bros.
It is closed on Mondays, which is why this tour never runs on a Monday.
